Engineering Scope

This is an example of an engineering scope of work. This type of document can be used to get bids from multi-discipline engineering firms. It is more cost efficient to engage a multi-discipline firm once the client has a good preliminary scope. KCI can work with the client to build this scope. See example.

Functional Definition

This is an example of a controls functional definition developed by KCI. This document is an important link between the process and the process controls. It tells the programmers exactly how the control system must function for the particular process. This document also serves other purposes: it is used to verify the programming functionality during commissioning; as a training guide for operators and maintenance; and as a troubleshooting guide after project completion.
